It began with a simple phone call and a big idea. A customer had just bought a brand-new 2024 Porsche Spyder RS. He wanted a motorcycle that could sit next to it and look like it belonged there.
For Jody Millhouse and the team at Thornton Hundred Motorcycles, this was the perfect challenge. The goal was to take a Triumph Bonneville Bobber and turn it into a one-of-a-kind machine that echoed the spirit of the Spyder RS.

The donor bike was a brand-new Triumph Bobber straight from the factory. Thornton Hundred fitted it with their SL components, effectively transforming it into a Super Light specification build. The team rolled it into the workshop and stripped it to the frame.
The ape-hanger bars came off. The factory side bags were removed. Every last speck of road dirt was cleaned away until they had a blank canvas ready for transformation.

From there, the build became something special. A Carbon V4 wide wheel kit went on first, fitted with Michelin Power Cup 2 tires. The front end received a USD fork kit and Thornton Hundred’s own top and bottom yokes, which are part of their SL component package, making them lighter than their standard V4 yokes.
The stock airbox was deleted, replaced with K&N pod filters and blanking plates for a cleaner look and better sound.
Every detail was considered carefully. The seat was hand-stitched to match the Porsche Spyder RS interior. Prototype Thornton Hundred brake and clutch levers were fitted, along with a 3D-printed lightweight front mudguard, billet footpegs, and custom rear light pods with integrated indicators.

Signature Thornton Hundred parts were added throughout: radiator guard, bar-end indicators, cradle frame brace, chain guard, wavy floating discs, and throttle body covers.
The paintwork became the centerpiece. The tank and bodywork were delivered to Porsche Centre Silverstone, where they were finished in genuine Porsche Rubystone Red. Satin gold accents were chosen to mirror the Spyder RS wheels, tying the bike and car together perfectly.

With only a few days left, the team worked late into the night. Tank pads were 3D printed and fitted. The custom seat and battery cover were installed. New tires were cleaned and wrapped. By Friday evening, the bike was loaded into the van, ready for its debut.
Sunday morning was the moment everyone had been waiting for. At Porsche Centre Silverstone, the Rubystone SL-RS Bobber was rolled into place next to the Spyder RS. The two machines looked like they had been designed as a pair. The paint, the gold details, the seat trim — every element was in harmony.

“This is a dream come true for us,” Jody said as he stood next to the finished build. “When we started Thornton Hundred, we never imagined collaborating with Porsche like this.”
The Rubystone SL-RS Bobber is more than a custom Triumph Bonneville. It is a celebration of design, precision, and passion. It is a motorcycle built to match one of the most exciting modern Porsches and to deliver pure joy every time its owner starts the engine.
